Widowed Divorced daughter / Daughter / unmarried sister are eligible for family pension

Government of the Pakistan issued a notification with subject “Liberalization of pension rules” . In continuation of this department letter bearing number FD.SR-III-4-111/89 dated 22.07.1989 on the subjected cited above w.e. in entitlement of family pension to unmarried daughter till there marriage or there securing regular source of income. Whichever is earlier , had been mentioned. A question has arisen as to whether a widow daughter is also covered under the pensions of this circular letter or otherwise?

2. Finance department has examined the case in consultation of law and parliamentary affairs department and having approval of the competent authority i.e. Chief Minster.It is here by clarified that “A Widowed daughter / divorced and um-married sister of Government Servant”  include for grant of family pension till there re-marriage or acquiring regular source of income, whichever is earlier.

Remember this notification issued by Khalid Mehmood Additional Finance Secretary (Reg) Dinance Department Government of the Punjab on May 15,2013.
