SUBJECT: DIRECTIONS ISSUED BY THE WORTHY SECRETARY SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, SOUTH PUN.IAB REGARDING IMPLEMENTATION PROGRESS OF INITIATIVES IN FIELD ON 10-06-2022
A meeting was held on 10-06-2022 at Committee room of School Education Department, South Punjab, Multan under the chairmanship of Dr. Ehtisham Anwar, Secretary, School Education Department, South Punjab, Multan.
The following directions were issued.
1. The chair stressed on the professional ethics and achievements of the targets set by School Education Department, South Punjab, Multan.
2. The chair sensitized all participants of the meeting on revival of sports activities. During summer holidays, playgrounds in schools be focused and they must be levelled and grassy. The chair expressed his concerned on the provision of accurate data of playgrounds and advised to update the data of playgrounds within one week.
3. All Chief Executive Officers (DEA) in South Punjab are directed to comply with the School Education Department, South Punjab, Multan in true spirit.
4. All CEOs (DEA) in South Punjab arc directed to rectify/ verified the data of Hockey coaches at Tehsil level and submit their report by Tuesday on 14-06-2022 before 2:00 PM.
5. Keeping in view of Grey and Green initiative, Playgrounds must be well prepared. All plants planted upto 2022 should be green and healthy.
6. Presently, Transgender Education Schools working in two Divisions Multan and Bahawalpur. The CEO (DEA), D.G. Khan is directed to take all measured to communicate the date for start of Transgender classes at Divisional headquarter D.G. Khan within three days.
7. Subh-E-Nou Classes already launched in two Schools in District Multan and in four schools of District Bahawalpur. Same way, the D.G. Khan is only Divisional headquarter that could not start Subh-E-Nou Classes. The chair expressed his concerns and directed to conveyed the date of commencement of Subh-E-Nou classes within a week. All CEOs (DEA) in South Punjab other than Multan. Bahawalpur and D.G. Khan arc directed to provide the data of teachers, training of teachers and name of school decided the commencing of Subh-E-Nou Classes.
8. The Chair directed to all CEOs (DEA ) to activate the School Chalo Help line 1234 in your District immediately.





9. For revival of reading and writing habits among kids, Roshni magazine the first ever online magazine in the country. The Roshni magazine is not being utilized in its true spirit as per policy. The CEOs (DEA) must ensure the implementation of direction to achieve its objectives and topics of magazine must be discussed during last three days of each month in the Class. The Roshni magazine published in the previous month must be kept in library for reading by all other students.
10. Libraries must he update, neat & clean and functional. The catalogue of library must he updated, arrange the books according to catalogue. The main purpose of establishment of libraries is to develop self-reading habit. During visit, the CEO (DEA) and all other field officers must visit the library and ensure its functionality. The newspaper reading must be promoted and it must be available in library for students reading comprehension.
11. Teaching of Climate change at school level as a separate subject is being introduced for the first time. The Green Book for children is included in the curriculum of Class 7th. The general awareness about climate change, environmental pollution, importance of plants, trees and greenery, birds and animals is incorporated in this book for schools children, parents as well as society. All CEOs (DEA) must arrange training of I lead Teachers and Teachers of Class 71h during summer vacations so that the objectives of Green Book be achieved and followed in true spirit.
12. During summer vacations, all CEOs (1)1A) must impart training of I lead Teachers regarding education technology particularly computer applications and sensitize to improve their capacity to perform better in this modern age.
13. The CEO (DEA) must take meeting with their field formation and brief them regarding initiatives of Secretary School Education Department, South Punjab, Multan. The meeting must be fruitful. There should he ownership. This meeting will be held at Tehsil or District level and message must be communicated to ensure the implementation of the following initiatives;
  1. Revival of Sports activities

  2. Maintenance of Playgrounds (levelled and grassy green)

  3. Students Council

  4. Roshni Magazine

  5. Green Book

  6. Grey & Green activities

  7. Establishment of Nursery & Plants plantations

  8. Preparation of Students and Teachers Profile.

  9. Continuous Assessment

  10. Daily, Weekly, Monthly Test, Mock Examination)

  11. Transgender Education

  12. Subh-E- Nou School

  13. Online Students Performance Monitoring System (SPcTS)

  14. School Chalo Helpline 1234

14. During summer vacation all CEOs (DEA) in South Punjab make ensure the presence of !lead Teachers and Non-Teaching staff in the schools. School playgrounds must be maintained, levelled, green and functional. Maintenance of building, repairing of furniture and electrical appliance will be made. Dengue activities will be performed as per policy. Keep the security cameras functional and ensure the recording of videos 24 hours. School assets must be safe and protected.
15. The Chair showed the concern over the physical appearance of Students Council elected representatives. The students representatives were not aware about their responsibilities. All CEOs (DEA) arc directed to ensure that responsibilities of Students Council must he affixed on printed panaflex in all Schools as per policy. The I lead of institution must sensitize the Students Council elected representatives regarding their responsibilities for School improvement in the best public interest. The next Student Council election will be held in November 2022. The I lead of




institutions and school staff must educate and sensitize the students for students council election.
16. Next CEOs (DEA) meeting will be held after 15 days. In the next meeting CEOs (DEA) will bring their presentation regarding the progress and achievements of the targets as SOPs of Policy initiatives.
