Instructions for Schools Severe Heat wave in Punjab
گرمی کی شدت اس وقت پنجاب میں عروج پر ہے۔سکول سے چھٹی کے وقت دھوپ میں شدید تپش ہوتی ہے جس کی وجہ سے دھوپ میں نکلنے والوں کا منہ اور پاوں جھلس جاتے ہیں ۔اس وقت زیادہ تر سکولوں نے بچوں کو ہدایات جاری کر دی ہیں کہ وہ سکول یونیفارم پہننے کی بجائے سکول عام کپڑوں میں آئیں ۔ بند جوتے سکول میں پہننے سے منع کر دیا گیا ہے۔ بجلی کی لوڈشڈنگ کے دوران بجلی کا متبادل انتظام کیا جائے ۔ تاکہ بچوں کو اس شدید گرمی سے بچایا جا سکے۔ مختلف سکولز میں گرمی کی وجہ سے بچے بے ہوش ہو رہے ہیں۔ ایک سکول میں گرمی کی شدت کی وجہ سے ایک ملازمہ موت کا شکار ہو چکی ہے۔

SUBJECT: SEVERE HEAT WAVE CONDITIONS PREDICTED DURING THE NEXT WEEK
Kindly find attached herewith a copy of letters No. CR-300/2022 dated 13-05-2022 and No. SO(EP&C)6-5/2022 dated 13-05-2022, received from Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, containing guidelines / measures to be taken in the wake of expected intense heat wave in the coming days in the country (copy attached).
2. You are requested to disseminate directions to lower formation /District supervisory staff and Heads of schools to follow the guidelines as issued by the Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department & PDMA Punjab and awareness be given to students during daily class lectures so as to avoid surge in cases and control any outbreak. Action taken in this regard, may be communicated to this office for information of the Competent Authority.

The intensity of heat is at its peak in Punjab now a days. During school hours, the sun gets very hot due to which the faces and feet of those who go out in the sun get burnt. At that time most of the schools issued instructions to the children, Instead of wearing school uniforms, they should come to school in plain clothes. Wearing closed shoes is prohibited at school. Alternative power arrangements should be made during load shedding. So that children can be saved from this extreme heat. Children are fainting due to heat in different schools of Punjab. A Class-4 employee of a school has died due to extreme heat in the School.
Malik Ghulam Fareed Deputy Director (Monitoring) Chief Minister Monitoring Force Punjab issued a letter after receiving instructions from Provincial Disaster Management Authority about the Severe Heat in Pakistan, The Temperature in most cities more than 50 centigrade. Health department also issue advisory regarding the Heat Stroke due to weather conditions.
