Utilization of FUNDS @12.5 Percent Maximum in Schools against Total Allocation of Missing Facilities

Subject: UTILIZATION OF FUNDS 0 12.5% (MAXIMUM) AGAINST TOTAL ALLOCATION OF MISSING FACILITIES

I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to inform that Competent Authority has observed that various DEAs are allocating funds for purchase of revenue component / furniture while approving / placing following schemes before Competent Forum:-

i). Re-construction of Dangerous Schools Buildings in Punjab
ii). Construction of Additional Classrooms in Schools of Punjab

2. I am further directed to convey that Competent Authority has desired that henceforth no allocation be made for purchase of revenue component while executing / approving of above mentioned 2 schemes / blocks. However; allocation for revenue component / furniture may be made @ 12.5% (maximum) in future against the provided / allocated funds of the scheme titled “Provision of Missing Facilities in Schools (Boundary Wall, Drinking Water, Electricity, Toilet Blocks, Play Grounds, Libraries, Science Labs, Science Equipments, Student Furniture etc.) in Punjab” (as the same has already been communicated vide this department’s letter bearing No.SO(P)MISC-210/2009 dated 25.08.2009) (Copy enclosed).

3. The undersigned has also been directed to convey that all those schemes which have been approved from march 2022 to onward having revenue component against 2 schemes / blocks mentioned in para-1 may kindly be revised and new schemes/schools be approved against the allocated funds of revenue component.

(Note; In future, above said instructions may kindly be followed in true letter and spirit).
